Owls class Festival of Sukkot

As part of our R.E curriculum, the Owl's class were learning about the Jewish festival of Sukkot which is celebrated at this time of year. It celebrates the Story in the bible of Moses leading the Jews out of Egypt across the Red Sea and into the wilderness. They would make shelters to protect themselves from the elements and God would send down food from heaven for them to eat. Jewish people remember this journey by making shelters in their gardens or in their homes and decorate them with leaves and other natural items. They then eat their meals in the Sukkah for the week of the celebration.

To Miss Spanton,
The Owls have been talking and we decided that the things we like best in school are doing paintings, playing with the marble run, colouring in pictures, playing with the Wrens class, having a drink from our drink bottles, getting shiny cards for our good behaviour, and playing with the mobilo.
